I'm working on scanning my first book for the archive.
I've followed Jane's specifications of 300dpi
TIFF uncompressed format, one page per image.

I am now working on cleaning up the images.
(Removing pencil marks etc.)

The book is a 1916 copy of Peter Rabbit.

My question is,

How much do I need to clean up the images?
How many little brown marks on the book are OK?
(It is 80+ years old).

Thanks,
Gretchen
